VP Manufacturing

 World Transload & Logistics, LLC seeks VP, Manufacturing at our New Hope, MN headquarters.  Job duties include the following: Plan, direct, and coordinate all work and resources needed for manufacturing drill pipes used for oil and gas drilling, as well as water drilling in accordance with industry quality standards.  Responsible for overall management and coordination of plant operations, including related technical leadership on quality control systems, production issues, work force management, work process control, inventory control and systems development. Monitor plant output, cuts, yield and scrap to ensure efficient resource utilization and initiate corrective action as required. Manage raw material, in-process and finished good inventories, including coordination of inventory requirements with appropriate staff members. Serve on the safety and production committees to ensure safety and production goals are met.  

The position offered requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. The qualified candidate should have at least 5 years of progressive experience in senior manufacturing management for drill pipes (oil, gas, water), including quality control management, global specifications/standards, and related metallurgical testing. The qualified candidate must have experience with establishing, implementing and maintaining American Petroleum Institute quality standards for drill pipes (e.g.5 CT, SPEC 7, 5D, Q1 and related).
